Malia and Sasha Obama spotted partying with rapper Drake
Years after Barack Obama famously said Drake could “do anything he sets his mind to,” the Canadian superstar was seen letting loose alongside the former president’s daughters.
Malia and her younger sister Sasha were photographed enjoying a night out at a trendy Hollywood venue, both dressed in bold, skin-baring outfits—one showing off her midriff, the other opting for a daring top.

Growing up inside the White House wasn’t easy for Malia and Sasha Obama, who spent their formative years living under constant public scrutiny.
Malia—born July 4, 1998—and Sasha—born June 10, 2001—were thrust into the spotlight from 2009 to 2017 during their father’s presidency, residing at the iconic 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“They were watched all the time. They had to master the art of handling unwanted attention with grace. They had to figure out how to build their own identities in the public eye without being overwhelmed by it,” Michelle Obama shared on the Moments That Make Us podcast with Melinda French Gates.
She added, “They had to develop confidence and independence early on—even while growing up in a house with staff around them. I always told them, ‘You won’t be here forever. I need to raise you to run your own life.’”
Malia
Back in 2014, when Malia prepared for her prom, her father admitted the milestone hit him hard.
“Seeing your daughter in heels for the first time—it’s a shock,” he said on Live with Kelly & Michael. “She’s lovely. She’s beautiful.”
After finishing high school in 2016, Malia took a gap year before enrolling at Harvard, eventually graduating in 2021.
During her year off, she dove into the entertainment world—working as a production assistant on Halle Berry’s CBS sci-fi series Extant and later joining the writing team of Amazon’s Swarm.
In 2024, using the name Malia Ann, she premiered her first short film, Heart, as both writer and director at the Sundance Film Festival.
Sasha
Barack Obama once described Sasha, in a 2008 interview with People, as “bursting with energy and the comedian of the family.”
After completing high school in 2019, she began her freshman year at the University of Michigan, taking virtual classes during the pandemic.
She later transferred to the University of Southern California, earning a sociology degree in 2023.
Today, Sasha and Malia share a home together in Los Angeles.
“It means everything to know the daughters you raised find comfort in each other’s company,” Michelle Obama said. “That’s what every parent hopes for.”
All grown up
That sisterly bond extends to nights out on the town.
The young women were recently photographed partying into the early hours with Drake at The Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles.
Both embraced the nightclub atmosphere with eye-catching outfits.
Sasha rocked a black cropped corset paired with loose low-rise cargo pants and open-toe heels. Her braids were pulled into a high ponytail, and she added sparkle with earrings, a necklace, and rings.
Malia matched her sister’s effortless vibe, wearing a sheer lace-up top and high-waisted patterned pants that highlighted her figure. She let her long brown hair fall freely and completed the look with chunky lug-sole boots.
Reports say the sisters celebrated at the Hollywood hotspot until 4 a.m. before riding off with friends to end the night.
