The daughter of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro, Ava Sue, was involved in a scooter accident that resulted in injuries that required surgery. The incident occurred just one day before the girl’s fourth birthday. Ava Sue suffered the injuries after falling off her sit-on scooter. Unfortunately, she was left with bad scarring, extensive bruising and severe burns on her right elbow, shoulder and around her right eye. “Not the kind of day you want the day before your 4th year.
I just want to say a huge thank you to [Kare MD Skin Health] for their emergency service and procedure that helped reduce the chance of [scarring]. “I’m so proud of how brave my little girl was during surgery,” Alfonso wrote along with photos of his daughter, thanking the medical staff for their quick response. Angela, on the other hand, said she had a feeling something bad was about to happen, calling it a maternal instinct.
“I explained to the family, kids, babysitter, and friends who were helping prepare for Ava’s birthday party that we weren’t doing anything crazy or dangerous today that could potentially require an emergency room visit. I literally made sure everyone was looking me in the eye as I said those words,” she posted. When Ava Sue was taken to Kare MD Skin Health, doctor Dr. Raffy decided she needed to undergo surgery to minimize the risk of potential scarring. “It wasn’t a fun way to spend the last day as a three-year-old, but she was a real troupe,” the mom wrote.
“Giving this sweet girl some extra TLC tonight.” The staff at Kare MD Skin Health took the time to wish their young patient a happy birthday via Instagram and thank Alfonso for trusting them with her daughter.
