When a truck driver wanted to check his truck’s tires to start his working day, he surprisingly found a strange tiny creature curled around one of the big tires.
From a closer look, the astonished driver saw that the unexpected guest was a baby aardvark.
The first thing that the driver did it was to look for the little creature’s mom, but, unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found. The truck driver rushed to help the baby aardvark, taking him carefully and putting him into his truck.
As soon as they arrived at his work place, the driver called for help the local vet Dr. Erika, who also worked at ZURI Orphanage.
Dr. Erika de Jager was very excited and happy to take care of the little creature, ready to give him her love and comfort. She loved the tiny animal from the first sight.
The rescued orphan aardvark was called E.T, who received not only care and attention at the rehabilitation center, but all the love and affection. As soon as he was fed with bottled milk, he started to gain weight.
E.T. was about three-month-old, he was very curious and cheerful. E.T. adjusted to his new life very quickly, he befriended with the two rescued dogs, named Spokie and Zarah, who helped him to overcome his lost.
Dogs interacted with E.T. like he was a puppy. They loved to play with him and took care of him. E.T. also loved to spend his time with the two dogs, eating with them and sleeping in the same bed with them. He, apparently, thinks he is a dog.
After five months of rehabilitation E.T. was ready to be released to the wild. But he kept coming back every day to see his beloved caretaker and friends.
